The renovation respectfully acknowledges the clubhouse’s existing modern prairie architecture while introducing a more transitional modern look. Lovingly named “The Whale’s Tongue,” in reference to the cantilevered wood canopy that stretches end-to-end beside the dining room and turns the golf course facing patio into a covered veranda, the new space(s) reinvigorates the clubhouse’s center courtyard to encourage more intimate outdoor dining while it updates the indoor dining accommodations.
With its new buffet area, custom tables, chairs, and banquettes, sliding glass wall to allow al fresco dining, and patio veranda outfitted with a full-length skylight, fireplace and outdoor lounge seating, Glen Oaks offers dining as outstanding as its golf course.
