Nassau County officials broke ground for the NCPD’s Training Village at Nassau County Community College. SPECTOR’s design of the village includes model buildings and streets where Nassau Police cadets, along with other law enforcement agencies and local students, can practice responses to real-life scenarios. The village will revolutionize the way the department trains cadets and veteran officers, immersing them in training situations using a series of model buildings in a community. These buildings include a bar, restaurant, home, house of worship, bank, drugstore, and a train station. SPECTOR is also the architect for the state-of-the-art David S. Mack Center for Training and Intelligence.
